Grinding and induction heat treatment under one roof
Peeling, roll straightening, induction Q&T and hardening, centerless grinding, polishing and CNC cutting all run in the Yixin workshop. Hard chrome plating is done by long-term partner plants to our specification and checked on return.

01How do I choose between a soft and hardened chrome shaft?
A soft shaft has no surface induction hardening and leaves more flexibility for downstream machining. A hardened shaft is induction hardened to a case of about 2 mm before chrome plating, for greater wear resistance and guidance stability. Final selection depends on the application and drawing.
02What tolerances can you grind to?
Ø4–11 mm: −0.02/−0.05 mm as standard. Ø12 mm and up: 0/−0.02, −0.01/−0.03 or −0.02/−0.05 mm. Other tolerance bands are reviewed against your drawing.
03How thick is the hard chrome?
20–30 μm per side for export orders, up to 50 μm per side on request. Where a salt-spray rating is required (for example 72 h NSS), we specify a thicker chrome layer and can have the order tested by a third-party laboratory.
04What are your lead times?
Cut-to-length from stock: 3–5 days. Non-standard diameters: 7–10 days. Custom heat treatment: 10–20 days. 42CrMo: 7–10 days. Sea-freight booking time is added.
05What information should an RFQ include?
Product type, material or reference grade, diameter, length, quantity, tolerance, surface treatment, application and contact details. Attach a drawing where available.
